Note: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (someone over 16 - a non-rider is fine).
What is provided for in these prices?
- Pickup and return from a location within Waihi township. (Usually outside the information centre but another pickup point can be pre-arranged)
- Safety gear.
- Mountainboard hire - to suit size and ability
- Basic instruction
- Note: The time paid for starts after you have all geared up and are ready to ride.
Group Discounts
It works out less expensive per person if you bring a friend or two along for a ride. It`s also a lot more fun!
Discounts can be organised for groups larger than 3 people. Due to rental board numbers and safety considerations, only 3-4 riders maximum can be on the track at any one time. For larger group numbers it would be best to split the groups and have some of them involved in other activites and rotate between the groups. We work with several adventure activity providers that can help provide other pursuits. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this option further.
What do I need to bring?
Sturdy sneakers or hiking boots is a must. Long trousers are essential and a long sleeved shirt is advised. For more detailed information please see our safety gear page.
I have all my own gear - I just want to ride the track
No problem - please contact us to arrange times and access. Please don't just make your way to the track without contacting us first - it is on private land.
